Introducing the Love Canned Food Festival

  Posted on   by   No comments

We are extremely excited to announce the very first Love Canned Food Festival on Instagram. We’ve teamed up with Princes, Branston Beans and Batchelors Peas to bring you a week-long festival full of can-spiration, cook-alongs, hints, tips and tricks to help you use those cans in your cupboard.

You’ll be able to see our ambassador Phil Vickery host a cook-along and have a chat with Oli Mannion.

Princes’ ambassador, Miguel Barclay will be making delicious apple and cinnamon turnovers for less than 60p per person and MOB Kitchen will be getting saucy with Branston Beans.

Chef and food writer Gizzi Erskine will be showing you how to bring canned peas from the side to the centre of the plate, while nutritionist Lily Soutter and Mira Manek will be discussing how to use canned food as part of a balanced diet. We’ll also have, parents and food influencers, Emily Leary and Adam Shaw showing you how to make delicious back-to-school meals for the kids using canned foods.

All of this is to help raise money for our food distribution partner, FareShare. They’re the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. Together, they take good quality surplus food from across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups.
