Pasta Puttanesca

This dish mixes the ideas of the traditional Italian dish, with our favourite canned fish. Besides the taste, our favourite thing about this recipe is that it only uses one pan… result!

1Cook the pasta according to the manufactures instructions.

2While the pasta is cooking heat the oil in a large frying pan, sauté the onion over medium heat for 5 mins or until soft, add the crushed garlic and cook for another minute.

3Add the tomatoes, olives, anchovies, chilli and capers and cook for 5mins.

4Drain the pasta then combine with the tomato mixture. Garnish with parsley.

1 x 400g canned chopped tomatoes

1 x 300g canned pitted black olives

1 x 50g canned anchovies

350g spaghetti

1 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, peeled and sliced

2 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes

1 tbsp capers, roughly chopped

Handful fresh parsley, roughly chopped
